In the classic surf film "Endless Summer," Bruce Brown and Co. chase swell and seasons across hemispheres, because, well, it's always summer somewhere. 

In the United States, that somewhere happens to be Florida. When it's minus 40 degrees in Minnesota in January, in the Sunshine State, it's a balmy 72. 

The weather is the driving force behind why so many snowbirds flock there for winter, and why some of the fastest-growing U.S. cities are in that state. 

Additionally, Florida's copious coast line (1,350 miles) and park lands (over 2.5 million acres between state and national parks) are the stuff of dreams. And like pretty much everything else on this green Earth, they're best explored via ebike -- despite nightmare-inducing factors like gator crossings, the lack of a helmet law, and huge arterial roads with insane-o drivers.
